Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) invites interested Shareholders to serve as advisory members for the SNC Elders Committees. Letters of interest are due by 4:00 P.M AKDT on or before May 17, 2022.

As background, advisory members provide advice and support to the SNC committees. The member term is for one-year and allows Shareholders an opportunity to participate in the preservation of Sitnasuak heritage and traditions. The Board of Directors have recently updated the advisory member process and encourage interested Shareholders to submit letters of interest for consideration.

Elders Committee advisory members work with Board members to represent Elder Shareholders, and provide guidance on selecting Elder of the Year, Elders calendar and other cultural materials.

Committee meeting schedules vary but often meet quarterly. Individuals must be a Sitnasuak Shareholder. To be considered, a resume along with a letter of interest should be submitted. Letters of interest should include a brief introduction, overview of qualifications, employment history or background, and key points of consideration for the committee.
